Fourteen years.
Fourteen years since we lost my you and not a day has passed that we haven’t felt your absence.
I still see you everywhere… in my girls’ laughter, in the way they sing, in the sparkle in their eyes. The same playful shimmer, the same attitude and quick wit, the same ability to charm and tease and love so deeply.
I mourn that they never met you on earth. That they’ll never hear your loud, joyful singing, your contagious laugh, or feel one of your giant hugs. You couldn’t wait to be an uncle — you were certain your nieces would love you more than their dad. (And honestly, you might have been right.)
I miss our chats, our jokes, our chick flick marathons. Your restless spirit, your love of adventure, your fierce loyalty to your circle. There was never a dull moment with you, just joy, chaos, and connection.
You was my best buddy, my brother, my protector and my forever friend.
Loved. Missed. Remembered today and always. Rest easy Deaner, until we meet again. ❤️
